Foundation Scotland is an independent charity established to strengthen local communities by providing a source of funding to community led projects the length and breadth of Scotland.
Rape Crisis Scotland is the national office for the rape crisis movement in Scotland. They support the work of local centres and develop new centres in areas where there are no or few specialist services. They also work with other agencies such as the police, Crown Office and health services providing training and consultancy to improve the response to those who are affected by and who perpetrate sexual violence. Through their campaigns, briefings and publications they raise awareness of sexual violence, challenge attitudes and press for legal change.
Rape Crisis National Service Standards
Rape Crisis National Service Standards and National Statistics on Rape Crisis Services in Scotland was setup to coincide with International Day to Eliminate Violence Against Women, Rape Crisis (England and Wales) and Rape Crisis Scotland launched these National Service Standards for Rape Crisis Centres. The standards represent a collaboration between the two national umbrella organisations and are the culmination of a process of research, reflection, consultation and definition spanning five years. The standards describe in detail what is needed in order to deliver effective specialist sexual violence services. They cover the wider aspects of managing an organisation as well the more specific detail of services to survivors of rape and sexual assault.

The Scottish Government is responsible for the legal framework surrounding charities in Scotland. The Scottish Government recognises and values the important role that charities play in Scotland and is committed to supporting and encouraging charitable activity in Scotland, while reassuring the public that their money is being well used and that support is being properly provided.
Voluntary Action Fund is a long-established independent grant-making body which invests in voluntary organisations and community groups across Scotland. Through their programmes they provide funding and support to a wide range of local and national organisations to tackle disadvantage, challenge inequality and build strong, safe communities.
Women’s Fund for Scotland provides grassroots funding to projects run by and for women, either as start-up funds or to help pilot new initiatives. Often the Fund is the sole supporter of these groups and/or provides seed funding enabling the group to approach other funders.
